About Beadazzled by Cecilia
Cecilia Henaine de Davis emigrated from Mexico over 20 years ago.  Upon arrival to this country she worked in numerous community service roles, most notably in the fight to prevent domestic violence.

Today, a wife and the mother of two boys she brings her creative energy to bloom by blending her love and appreciation for natural elements (stones, metal, wood, leather, earth...), items both old and new, and her ability to "see" something in what many others overlook to design unique jewelry.  Come and see her work; you are certain to find something for everyone.
Cecilias art is at the heart of Beadazzled!
Cecilia is also the director of a Durham program called De Mujer a Mujer, or Woman to Woman. It is a craft-oriented program that teaches immigrant Latino women new skills, and provides a forum for discussion about healthy behaviors and lifestyles. The group meets Tuesdays 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Community Church, www.c3huu.org.

Cecilia also performs in the "Speaking Without Tongues" project of Hidden Voices. Through these performances she supports the prevention of domestic violence. For more information on this project, please visit hiddenvoices.org.
